A former Glatorian, now a tracker and guide, Gelu has lived on a post-apocalyptic desert planet for 100,000 years despite being of the Ice Tribe. I can only assume he is very, very thirsty.
I wanted to get as much of that Mad Max vibe into Gelu as I could. His elemental gun is barely functional, he wears a bandolier covered in tools, he carries more equipment in dark tan bags at his sides, and he's covered in spikes and mismatched armour plates. Printed pieces from Chima worked wonders here. I made him sand blue to further separate him from Orde and Chiara, his Toa companions who are also blue. It's a difficult colour to work with but I'm proud of how it turned out. He also wears a cloak that I dearly wish was brown. I should get into making my own cloth elements instead of just using what Lego provides...
(Gelu also wields a pair of Ice Shields which I like to imagine manifest from his bracers like Star-Lord's helmet!)
