Description
This one was also for a contest about creating a marine companion for an octopus girl but as I was checking to make sure I had everything right, I noticed a very problematic "By entering this contest you are agreeing to give me full ownership of any submitted works, as well as copyrights to any characters portrayed therein." So after laughing for about 10 minutes I decided to upload it but not submit it to the contest. So here you go enjoy.Btw she was heavily inspired by Mutio of blue submarine no 6

Thank you I have always though Mutio was a very cute character so I really had her in mind when designing a sea creature so it's only natural that I give credit where it's due.Β
And the contest thing, well it seems to me that it was someone who didn't quite understand copy right or trade mark. Problem is that things like that could get troublesome in the event of an actual conflict in terms of who would own the rights of the character. Artists need to be aware of things like that when they submit to contest or do commissions.

Blue Submarine No. 6 is a great anime it was kinda famous when it came out not as common these days. Still great story, great setting, great characters. Certainly one of my favorites. Also Thanks for the fav.

Thanks for the compliments, I am pleased at how she turned out. Its a pity the terms for the contest where so draconian, but its probably more of a person not understanding, ownership, copyright and trademark laws more than then being trying to be selfish...at least I hope. Anyways if it really came down to it, that statement wouldnt hold water in court but it would probably be a source of unnecessary headaches if there was ever a dispute.
