Today was the day! Lee was going to let Tony go to the Nook! Apparently there's tons of wynglings that stay there, which means new friends to make! As much as he loves Lee and Ember, he would love to get to know more kids like him!
When Lee mentioned taking him to the Nook in the morning Ember seemed to perk up, giving both him and Lee a weird kind of look. He's only ever seen grumpiness on her face so he couldn't really understand it.. But it was nice to know she does pay attention to what he and Lee say! She even said goodbye to them as they headed off, standing outside the door.
During the walk he asked Lee all about the Nook and the gros in it, and Lee answered them all until they reached the door of the Nook. They were let in by this nice gro called Alma, who hugged Lee instantly then started scolding him for not visiting. He giggled at his pa's guilty apologies before his dad said he can go off and have fun.
It was... cool to see all the different wynglings, all of them were so different yet the same as him! Let's see how many friends he could make!

Alright.. So not many friends were made today, but he could try again tomorrow! If.. Lee would let him back the next day.. with his black eye.. But it doesn't bother him at all, he could still see! Definitely does not ache!
After walking around the Nook he approached a yellow wyngling, about to comment on how they had the same ears which was definitely cool! But.. He was shooed away which is okay, Ember does the same all the time! They just need time alone..
Another time a wyngling came up to tell him to be quiet, but... um... it was nice knowing wynglings around here noticed him! Uhm.. up until he got too much attention... Some gathered to talk about his weird... slurring thing... But they were right! It was kind of silly, very funny! He understood how it could seem funny. Is funny. Yeah.
It wasn't until he accidentally bumped into a red wyngling with cast the day got.. A little more.... not fun. But it was fine, he was at fault! She had a cast and he wasn't careful and bumped it, he deserved the smack to the face.
When he got back home Lee freaked out, trying to figure out how to help Tony. He seemed really panicked for some reason... Just a worried dad right? Anyone would be afraid if their kid came home with some scratches on them! He decided not to tell Lee what actually happened though.. He didn't want to get that red wyngling in trouble, she didn't do anything wrong! Once Lee left to get something to press on the bruise, Ember surprisingly walked up to Tony. While he always dreamed of the day his sister would talk with him, he wasn't all that comfortable at her staring at his black eye. She seemed... suspicous of him? There was that look Lee gives him when he tries to hide the fact he ate another cookie, but the other emotion wasn't very... recognizable.. Hm, wonder what it was..
Well, he just has to convince Lee to let him back to the Nook tomorrow. He's determined to make friends, maybe even make friends with the wynglings he met today! They did seem pretty cool, maybe it was just an off day? He knows they're nice deep down somewhere!
