On the world of Adastra the leonin are ruled by a council of wise men and woman, who are selected by the people, however the council members select a representative, who is given the greatest authority and responsibility. He becomes the king of Adasan and all leonin on Adastra. While his title remains the only one with actual meaning, his entire family then recieve the title of nobility. So came young Arken to the title of Prince of Adasan in the age of mere three years. He would not inherit the title of his Father however as, if a King retires or dies, another one is selected by the council, still the noble family of Adasan recieve certain wealth and respect. Traditonally they life in the royal palace that lay next to the garden's of the King, the only garden in Adasan that aren't open to public in Adasan. There young Arken spent most of his time in those garden and he would always enjoy the peace of this place and he would even recieve his lessons there when his father hired a privat teacher for his son. Some wandering leonin, a mysterious figure, quiet, but very wise and kind. He taught Arken many things of the world they lived in, in fact more than most others would ever know about this plane.
And the young prince would silently admire his mentor and over the years they grew close friends while Arken grew up in the quiet and sealed gardens of his family and when his teacher was not around - what happened strangely often for a personal teacher - yet he always was there to prevent Arken's father from scholding the young prince, who once again sneaked out of the family manor alone, spare his constant feral companion, the lion Yllion, tho he was also just a cup back then and little intimating. But the only guilt of the cub was the he wanted to see more of the world than the protected gardens of his home. "Arken, my young friend, no matter the schold you might get, you should never be afraid to explore this world. Just make sure you don't hurt yourself." He had told him and patted his shoulder. It has been weird. Yllion usually snarled at everyone who touched Arken, but now the young lion purred and rubbed against the teacher.
Many years later, when Arken was a young adult he finally could convince his father to let him go an explore the world. He had one condition tho. That Arken's friend and mentor would acompany him and Yllion. But this was a term Arken would happily agree with. He knew his father would never let him leave without protection, and he was happy that his travel companion and protector would be his most trusted friend. Arken had to wait only for a week until Ceos arrived at the palace again to take the prince on his journey. It had been odd. For four years they hadn't seen each other back then and while Arken had grown into a proud young man, his mentor hasn't changed a tiny bid. In fact, as Arken thought about it, he looked exactly when they first met and the prince had been just a cub. Arken had heard of stories of Minotaurs becomming immortal due to the blessing of their god, but he had never heard of this 'blessing' being bestowed upon a leonin. But for the time being Arken had been just happy to see his friend again and the three of them would soon set out to their long due journey.

So, another illustration for my little Adastra project and this time it's no lesser than the prince of leonines. This was actually very nice to draw. It was the third attempt after the first two were garbage. I hope it was worth it, what do you think? You think he fits his role as prince and Ceos' student and friend?
