Description
Hey, guys, I finally finished this! ;7;
Sooo much to rant about, but I'll just say that I learned a LOT and leave it at that.
I experimented quite a bit on this and am very happy with how it turned out. I even managed to achieve my goal of keeping it lowpoly.
I also finished the sample character, but it'll probably take me a while to throw it onto a (not so) fancy setup like this one... :'D
If you'd like to look at it now though, I already have it displayed on my Tumblr .

Sample Character
EDIT 2
I remade it to be twice as big for added clarity.
EDIT 3: Now for Download
dA changed the way of things, so here's the download link...
EDIT 4!: Updated rig, but don't get this one, see Edit 5 below!!
I kept getting questions about the original version's bones and rig, and each time I'd just give each person this version . So today I decided I should just post it up for everyone. I never did because I never finished the new sample character, then I just kinda fell out of it... Maybe one day I'll get back at it. Either way, here's the updated model and rig in all its unfinished, messy-lookin' glory.
(This is a quick and dirty download of just the blend file; for the sample character and textures, get the original download.)
Quick how-to: pose-able bones mostly only rotate (shortcut key: R), with a few exceptions. Hands, Feet, Knee & Elbow balls, "Torso," and Master can also move in location (key: G). If you accidentally try to move a bone that can only rotate, it will rotate anyway.
You can turn "Shapes" off under the Display section in the Rig panel if you find my ugly shapes too distracting. You can also turn X-ray on, however I left it off because I designed (or attempted to at least) the shapes to be visible even with it off. Play with the options to see what you're comfortable with!
EDIT 5!!: Newest version with corrected texture packing! Get this one!
Small but very important update! The textures are now packed into the file! I only just learned about packing textures and how to do it a few months back, and ahhhh! All those wasted years of lost textures! The simplest fix was right under my nose, and now I feel like a complete idiot for all my previous clunky file saving habits...
Also, the blend file is updated to Blender version 2.93.8 now, so the meshes have the surface textures on nodes.
As always, feel free to message me if you got any questions!

Awww, much appreciated! ( หแตห )
It makes me so happy this base is still used by so many people all these years later. It's really reassuring!

Just have to say thanks once a gain for this model. I mean, I've stuck with it for so long because the base is just so solid. Here's a snapshot of my latest work using it.ย imgur.com/a/zqwaloa and imgur.com/a/DXUiypO
