Yes, its another Elephant Man pic. I'm on a roll, baby!!!I always enjoy doing pics of Joseph interacting with his mother. She showed her disfigured child unflinching love and affection, and through her example, our Joe passed through all the hardships he endured and still remained an absolute sweetie.
This pic is based on a drawing I did years ago. I imagine our guy had trouble sleeping, even as a little kid.

Awww, he looks in so much pain, poor Joseph. And Mary Jane looks so worried, naturally, as a sweet, caring mother like her would. I like to think he got a hug from someone else other than his mother in his lifetime...

I hope so too. Maybe he got some from his sister, or his aunt and uncle. And perhaps an especially affectionate nurse.

I hope she did too. It seems that Uncle Charles was very sympathetic towards Joseph, so I'm sure he saw how much the condition upset her.

I know. Along with the discomfort his condition caused, just thinking about all the stares and whispers directed at him probably kept our little Joe up for hours.
Thank goodness he had a loving mum.
