Description
After Return of Ivalice was announced for FFXIV which was based on FFXII and FF Tactics I decided i was going to complete final fantasy tactics: war of the lions which i had never finished on the PSP. After beating Tactics I decided to start playing other Final Fantasy games so I would be able to catch references in FFXIV as there are many. With Tactics completed and at the time working on FFX I decided I was going to try and draw a character from each game I finish. Either the main character or one that had a big impact on me... Or one that was op and got me through the entire game. After having major artist block for many months I finally sketched and outlined my drawing of Ramza. However i wanted to make copies of this drawing because my last attempts to ink an original drawing ended in disaster. Unfortunately our printer/scanner decided to take a huge dump and stop working.. So the completion of this drawing was long over due. But now that it is finally finished I can begin sketching for the next game I completed: Final Fantasy XNot sure when the next drawing will be out but in the words of the great Yoshi P. "Please look forward to it"

Nice one 👍 My favorite game. And oh boy, i feel you 100% on losing a perfect drawing to an attempt to color. Excuse my vulgarity, but last month I colored something so horrendously, I may as well have shitted on it. Im still so mad about it.

Thanks! Came out way better than i thought it would! I was really afraid to ink the original because I was super rusty with my markers and last thing i inked i completely destroyed.

Yeah... Im really sorry about that... been kinda busy/anti social for awhile... I can be anti social if i feel overwhelmed with stuff..
I can try to be more active. Trying to get back into drawing and I'm mad at myself for letting me get this rusty. (you should have seen the other things i tried doodling- well... its prolly better if you dont because they were really bad due to lack of practice. xD )

Gotta print out copies to ink! keep the original safe. worth a try if your up for trying something new

Maybe I'll try it someday lol. I still haven't practiced inking with my tablet yet. I've only practiced sketching with it XD
Wow, that is a long time not drawing anything. I think the longest I've gone without drawing is about a month or a little bit longer than that ^^

My parents got me a tablet for christmas.... prolly 3 years ago... x_x; I am taking graphic design this spring so i will have a reason to sub to adobe again so ill have access to photoshop again. Yeah... not to proud of my lazyness when it comes to art these days ._.
How do you ink with a tablet? just coloring in? cell shading?
If you got any tips for tablets id love to hear them cus i havent used one in... id rather not say...

I've had my tablet for years and I've just started using it recently lol. For inking you want to make fast strokes to keep the lines smooth, or you could also do short quick strokes and try to connect them to look like a long stroke. That's what I've seen people do in tutorials and speedpaints. You also want to rotate the canvas cause it can make it easier to ink certain lines ^^
For base colors I would just use a selection tool to fill stuff in to be faster, if all the lines are connected with no gaps. I'm not sure about cell shading because I haven't tried it yet, but I've seen people create outlines of the shading and fill it in, or use a brush to create the shape they want and fill in what's left ^^
