I wanted a new wallpaper for my laptop. Also, I wanted to go back to messing around with custom brushes at random.
This is probably the best drawing I've ever made of my fan characters, seriously. ^^

I'm going to Ravensbourne uni in London. They specialize in character design, which is something I really like. Sure thing. Where college are you at?
What are you doing at college? I went to the uni in Cambridge and that place is pretty good for traditional illustration, if that's what you looking to do. And Westminster in London is good for traditional animation.

I take an extended diploma in Art and design, so it covers all areas of art

Yeah ^^ It's right next the O2 area. When I go there again, I want to know where the shops and libraries are.
I didn't know were that was. So I just looked it up. I've been to Swindon near that place, but I've never been there. I did the same thing but I took the animation version of it.
Yeah, it is tough there. I applied to go there, and I went to an interview but I got turned down. I don't really mind that though since, it didn't specialize in the technology side of it that much and I thought that was bad.

and Oh! I live in Swindon, its okay I guess lol i'd call it home, I get the college bus to Cirencester everyday because the course seemed taught better with more exciting projects, gives me a chance to meet more people too. Luckily I've made friends with everyone in my art class cause there's 9 of us in total.
What kind of things did you do in the animation diploma? I'm curious.

I saw a little Tesco when I was there and a Starbucks. I didn't see any other shops though. I like it too, especially the Expo Centre.
I remember seeing a big Toys'R'Us in Swindon when I was little. Oh, did you go a different college beforehand?
In the animation version, you do storyboards/ stopmotion/ little bit of flash/ general animation techniques (how you should draw things moving and stuff frame by frame)/ comicbooks/ designing for videogames/video editing/ ect. I was kinda disappointed by how it taught at my college though, since they didn't teach me everything and I learnt more through books at the library and the Works shop nearby. I was annoyed that my college didn't focus that much on digital drawing; it had one of two lessons but they were slotted at the end of the course.
What are those places like? ^^

Yeah thats Swindon alright lol and nah I've been at Cirencester college since I left school c: its nice to be in a different county, a little distance from home. Cirencester has a completely different feel about it and I love it!
That sounds like fun! though you're right it is a shame they didn't do much digital drawing, thats one skill I really want to improve. My course is more traditional too, not much digital.
Hereford? I havent visited there yet, we were supposed to but they cancelled the trip at the last minute T_T

I knew it. That's cool, weren't you nervous or something where you first got there? I went to London the other day for enrollment and it felt really strange there. But the uni did do a good job, they had a cup cake decorating thing going on and they gave candy away at the enrollment desks. I did meet someone there who's on the same course as me though, they're a computer programmer. They sounded like a nice person. ^^
Yeah, I want to do that too. I hope that uni is better.

You're lucky. When I went to college, I didn't know anyone there. Modern languages must be really hard. I never understood it when I was at school. I just remember my teacher saying that the cabinet in the classroom lead to Narnia. ^^
It's kinda scary, I'm not settled in yet. I couldn't find the shops or a library. I asked about the library and they told me that I would have to get on the bus. I was planning on using the trains but I didn't have the right kind of pass to go anywhere, so I couldn't go there. I guess that I'll find it soon though. I think that I went to North Greenwich through the Underground, I'm not sure what part of London it is.

The idea of Uni kind of scares me... though I am used to all the talk about it at college now, I got a prospectus through the post today as well, when I don't recall applying for one. xD Don't you have older students to help you out when you need it? Like show you around? and I love using the underground though it does get really squishy once you get near westminster, which is to be expected. Be sure to tell me more of your uni experiences (:

Same here. It's really hard. I did French and I barely remember anything now. I think that my school made languages compulsory at GCSE, but I didn't have to do it because I was already in the senior year when they brought out that change. To Narnia
My college did the same thing to me with UCAS. Where did the prospectus come from? When I went to the uni, I only saw a few older students. But I think that I saw one as they wanted to join the cake decorating thing but they didn't have any time. And another two for the student council there. No one showed us around, but the staff looked pretty busy so that was probably why.
I haven't been that many crowded trains yet, it's probably gonna get crazy especially with a big portfolio. Where I get on the trains in my hometown, there are tables on the trains. So I could go on my laptop whilst I get to London and that will be a big help.

Well, when I was at college, it was size A3. I don't know if it's going to be smaller at this uni, but I hope that it is so that it's more easy to carry. If is small, I want to get a scrapbook from paperchase, since they have decorated covers and ribbons on them. ^^
