A bit plain, but they get the job done. I do like the nest parasitism bit, it adds a natural character that a lot of fantasy creatures lack.

Considering that the cockatrice is my favorite mythic monster, this is easily a favored post of mine. You matched up their saurian counterparts rather well I think. Long neck and tail, serpentine for the basilisk while the cockatrice looks like a hybrid of reptile and chicken, perfect for their roles.

Thanks dude, I appreciate you like them. Yeah, they're nothing really special, but I think that points them out more. I mean, just imagine to have your own domestic flock of Cockatrices (as such non-poisonous) than you get inside the pen to find death staring at you in the eye!
