Description
As I liked the design quite much and had some more ideas for poses and such, I drew it again.This was also a good opportunity to practice lighting effects haha.
I guess I like cats too much and that's why I don't like the official version. While looking through some fanart of Incineroar I came across pictures I never wanted to see... but well, rule 34...
While drawing I came up with some different description than the official one (basically you can see it as a different Pokemon) :
Incineroar roam the land as rogues.
After being hunted for their beautiful fur they became extremely mistrustful towards humans, which is why they hide themselves as soon as they sense them.
However, they won't hesitate to attack humans if necessary.
Only few trainers are able to tame this Pokemon. After gaining it's complete trust, Incineroar will unleash its full power.
I'd call his Z-Attack Blazing Hellfire.

When I first played PokΓ©mon Moon (I got Sun a bit later), I picked Litten 'cause it was so damn adorable. When it evolved into Torracat, it wasn't cute anymore, but it was still pretty cool. And then it evolved into Incineroar... I only used from then on for breeding. In fact, whenever I play a Gen VII game, I only evolve Incineroar for Dex completion, and keep a Torracat for story purposes. Your design is much, much better than the official one.

This fanart of Incineroar is 100,000,000,000 times better than the real thing. THIS is what it should have looked like. Instead we got a wrestler in a fucking tiger mask trying to hide the fact that it's a actually a fighting typeby claiming it's a dark type heel. Seriously, I thought I was playing Pokemon, not Tiger Mask W on a Tiger the Dark storyline.

Yeah... I hoped they would at least this time make a quadruped fire starter.
I fell in love with Litten and then I saw its evolution D:

I mean, it's understandable for the Charmander Line, Chimchar Line and Torchic Line to be bipedal, but the Tepig Line, Fennekin Line and Litten Line should've been fully quadrupedal Pokemon. It seems that only the Cyndaquill Line was, in a sense, the only Fire Type Starter that walks on four legs, though it has been known that Typhlosion mainly stands on two legs. Let's just hope that the next Fire Starter would have four legs, but that's unlikely.

Yeah, it feels completely forced and unfitting to me, that the Tepig, Fennekin and Litten line walk on two legs.
Though Emboar is Fire/Fighting. So I can understand why it does. But it would have also been a very nice wild boar.
I got the feeling that all of the starters become more "domesticated".
Especially the newest ones... Primarina for example. All of them seem to have clothes on them while it might be only fur and feathers. And Skin.
So I wonder why they didn't decide to make two forms of them. One "domesticated" and one feral and more natural looking.
And regarding the fire starters: I heard a rumor once, that they base the fire starters on the chinese zodiac.
If they do, I wonder how they're gonna make a bipedal fire horse...

Yeah it makes sense with the "domesticated" and feral versions.
Also, I agree with the rumor with the fire starters being based off the Chinese Zodiac, since the Charmander line is based off the dragon, the Cyndaquill line based off the rat or rabbit(even though the appearance of Cyndaquill is based off a shrew/echidna, Quilava a weasel, and Typhlosion a badger), the Torchic line based off the chicken, the Chimchar line based off the monkey, the Tepig line based off the boar, the Fennekin line based off the dog(even though it's a fox), and the Litten line based off the tiger.
And going on with rumors, there was rumors of the grass starters being based off extinct animals and the water starters based off semi-aquatic animals.
As for a bipedal fire horse, that would look creepy, besides we already have Ponyta and Rapidash.

I can't put into words how disappointed I was with Litten's final evolution. I was excited to get a fiery tiger pokemon and they go and mess it up by making it bipedal. I wish Incineroar really looked like this. But oh-well, at least we still have Rowlet. Β

Well, I don't like it to be honest. But I thought about why I don't like it for some time.
I've always preferred more "natural" designs. Of course all of the designs are artificial but what I mean by that is, they look like they could exist.
For example Eevee, Suicune or Arcanine. Even Machoke or Machamp look "natural".
But Incineroar definitely doesn't. Its hands are too big, its fur looks like clothes and last but not least: it's a humanoid tiger.
Overall its design is really... uncreative and like it was designed for children. It looks like they took it right out of a comic and thought hey, why not troll people by letting them think it's gonna be a fire/fighting?
It would be completely suitable for a children's movie, like Zootopia or Madagascar (I mentioned these movies because there are tigers in it and Incineroar completely reminds me of them).
To make it short: its design is boring. I don't know whether my design isn't but to be honest... I prefer mine. Usually I don't say things like this but I think they could have come up with something better and especially something that really stands out because it's different.
