I looked at my gallery and realised I've been submitting all my crap pieces...hence my scraps looking better than my deviations
So I decided I'd submit one of my better pieces. This is a random girl I was drawing, was trying to draw my character on an mud actually, so I could get some practice inking...but it didn't turn out that way 
Anyway, this was done by me and my friend, , she helped me by drawing the staff and helping with the legs
I'm jealous, she's so talentedAnyway I'm not sure whether this goes under people, or anime or fantasy so yeah, I put it here, wasn't thinking about anime much when I drew it
And I figured it counted as a pencil drawing because it definitely wasn't a sketch lol >_> All that shading... -silently muses-

I like to critique stuff, hope you don't mind it too much.
Anyway, the first thing you need to work on is proportion. If you stand up, you'll notice hands always go down to around mid-thigh at the fingertips. I'm constantly criticized for drawing/having thick legs, but I think in this case they really are too slim. 
Nice staff, though. ^^

No, I don't mind critics
XD I thought my body was elogated ;__; so I made her waist a little wider lol. Um yeah, I do know the hands should be around mid-thigh, it's just that these legs are kinda long...as I said, I didn't draw them, my friend did ;__; I knew I should've editted them to be thicker ;__; But I was lazy and didn't feel like bothering
Um, yeah, it should be the cape, I had a book on drawing capes once and it said to draw the capes a little over the shoulders for a nice effect
And the staff is nice ;__; My friend may have drawn the legs slightly thin, but the staff is just so nice... -sighs happily-
Anyway, I'll do another post on my own art, you go crit that

The rod makes me think of Ragnarok (yes, those long ages ago when i was a mage.......anyway)
to make the icon appear type in :icon'username': except without the apostraphes and replace username with the deviant's name
