A Tale Of Amnesia

A small summer's breeze drafted around her form, giving her a cool feeling. She shifted slightly, only just starting to awaken from her slumber.

Her mind was foggy and she felt dizzy. She tried to remember anything that might have put her in this position, but nothing came to her mind.

"Where am I?" She thought.

"Is... This a dream?"

Her eyes opened slightly, only to close them as they adjusted to the light of the environment.

When she could see she looked around at her surroundings.

She was in a forest clearing. The trees seemed taller than they should have been, though she couldn't understand why. Hadn't they always been this way?

The amount of rings on the bark told her that these trees had been here for quite a while.

The grass was fresh and a lively green colour; she inhaled the clean air and sighed happily, smiling all the while. She didn't think the air out here could be so refreshing.

Her smile faltered and she frowned. She didn't remember falling asleep here, but then again she couldn't remember anything.

Could this be her home? It all felt so odd though, as if she had never been here before.

She yawned, feeling sleepy as her head started to hurt from thinking too hard about her forgotten memories.

She laid her head back down and eventually fell asleep with wandering thoughts about her past life.

She didn't know how long she was asleep for, but soon she was waking up with the wind brushing against her face and a voice calling her from somewhere.

That breeze felt nice.

But who is that calling her?

Someone she knew?

"...Excuse me miss... Are you alright?"

She slowly opened her eyes; whoever was speaking to her was crouching down on one knee and seemed worried about her.

She raised her head and met the person's worried eyes.

From what she could tell this person was a lizard-type creature. He stood on two legs but looked capable of walking on four.

He had two arms with three digits, same with his feet.

He had green scales covering his body, but they were faintly outlined so it looked more like skin.

Some red scales traveled up from his abdomen up to his chin and mouth.

A dark green tail hung behind him and ended with two bumps at the end.

Big bright reptilian yellow eyes stared down at her, and for some reason she felt as if she could stare into them endlessly.

He smiled. "I'm glad you're awake, are you alright miss?"
