Description
"I would like an octopus who's shelving books."
- K.
For German Library Day on October 24th, I drew a little series of pictures showing animals in context with using a library - celebrating my wonderful workplace. After the first three images, I called out to my colleagues to make some wishes about what they'd like to see. Of course, shelving books is daily routine in a library. Wouldn't it be practical to have more than two hands to get it done more quickly?
On a side note: The furniture, including the cart, is based on the actual looks of our library. And the white book the octopus is holding resembles a book my boss has written this year for our 125th anniversary in July 2023.
Hope it lightens up your day.
Have a great time!
Material: Coloured pencil and ink pen on a random book page.
No active library books were harmed during this project.
