Description
Part of my brother's Paper & Pen series (Think like DnD but more improvising), this being one of my many characters from it.

Avery is a part of the Alliance, more so Richard Corp, working as one of their many archaeologists. She was once just a normal human, with her passion for science and history, eager to help her group's case. At the time, the world was beginning to learn about the outside beings in space, many that came down to earth that were called angels, strange metallic winged creatures who scream as if something is scratching metal. Avery, with her code name being Mercurial, was sent to look at some old ruins that might be related to angels and old magic, so with her crew, they entered.

However, after a few days, no one returned, so another squad was sent in, including one of Richard Corp's higher mercenaries, who found that everyone except for one person was dead, that one person being Mercurial...but she was much different than she was before. For starters, she was now an angel. Her memories were hazy, but she recalled that during their mission they came across a strange relic, someone touched it, and then everything went hazy. Next thing Mercurial knew, her body had transformed, she started seeing wild images that she could not handle, and ended up clawing out her eyes with her new metallic hands (For there seems to be a reason natural angels don't have eyes).

She was brought back home to be studied, where she is learning to handle her new body and powers. Like not eating and drinking the same as everyone, having magic, being taller, being made of metal, and even having to speak through telepathy due to the fact angels can only shriek when naturally talking.

But despite all that, Mercurial still acts a lot like her old self. Workaholic, nerding out over science and history, and often keeps forgetting that she's not physically human anymore, which can look a bit strange and even funny to outsiders. So even with all her new changes, she still acts pretty human, and still wishes to help in the cause, especially with her new look.
