soo i totally blame for this. she posted a rather lovely sketch of supposedly Usagi doing her hair. i love hair doing pictures, so i left a comment and noticed she had beads around her crescent...which was Queen Serenity, not Usagi. then the artist pointed out the earrings, so now firmly in my mind, the picture is of Queen Serenity in her younger days. and that is how i colored it. XDi tried my natural style again, and i think it looks fantastic! a lot more work, but it looks soo good...i may slowly transition to doing all my work in this style. i also decided since in the manga, Princess Serenity has gold accent on her dress rings, i decided for some reason, her mother's accent color could be purple/lilac...so that explains the rings and sleeves.

^^ well in my mind because of the beads and earrings, i can't see it as Usagi! i can only see it as Queen Serenity, so that's how i colored it. and i always was of the opinion that she had lilac hair.
i'm glad you like it! i might not have much skill with art, but i seem to definitely have skill with tracing. so it wasn't that hard to clean it up! thank god for layers...XD and you're welcome. i usually end up coloring other peoples art, especially if it's intresting or a character i like! i have a whole folder devoted to my coloring of other peoples art...XD

I do like that idea you had with it. I've never thought of a young Queen Serenity. I did always like her color scheme a lot though! I should try to draw that, since she was one of my favorite side characters.
I'm glad you liked mine enough to color it. <3 I'm so lazy, i never color anything anymore. It always takes me years and I end up forgetting about all of the stuff I haven't finished.

^^ well i'll certainly color whatever catches my intrest...which is usually sailor moon stuff. XD i'm very pleased you like it though! i had help with the shading from a friend...and now she's doing the Usagi queen picture as well! so it seems i'm unintentionally spreading the word around.^^0
