The night Anna escaped the asylum, she ran down the mountain bare-footed without stopping. She kept going — down, down down the hilly city of Inon. She kept running until she made it to the base of the mountain, under the cliff side where Leith’s house was. When Leith answered the Door, little Anna stood there looking up at her with bloody, muddy feet. Covered in bruises, so so many cuts, and gaunt with tired, tired pink eyes. Her eyes, Syomina’s gift to her. Her beautiful brown hair hung in tangled, ratty blonde locks. But undoubtedly it was her. It was Anna! And Leith was Leith! When they embraced Anna swore it a dream, and they spent the rest of their dreamlike trance catching up, crying, grieving and laughing all night long.
