I think the rainy-blurry-ness adds to it. This wouldn't have carried the same impact in "proper" lighting.

It looks better blurry.
Then again, it depends on your perspective and what you think is blurry and all of that. From a small view, it looks fine.
I really like the tone. I feel that... the other sticks could be darkened so that there's a bigger contrast to the main subject, therefore conveying more impact and such.
