Thanks for comments!
Usually I don't use photo as reference, just some works that I look for more precision. (Yes it is an error!), that's why some big problem in anatomy.
Once I made zines just for me, I was worried in work quickly.
I am trying to change it, starting to work with illustration, I hope I can improve soon!

Even professionals use a reference (for portrait art aka realistic detailed paintings, for animation and comics they use the construction method which is drawing lines and geometric figures first as a blueprint), as a beginner you're supposed to trace a lot (but not 100% of the time) as well as mostly use references, with me I do it on a 1:3 ratio (33% each - drawing with nothing, using a reference and tracing)

Trace

Reference

Memory

Hmm.. It is a interesting tip. Nowadays, I avoid tracing method. Once I think it can create a vicious to draw just with trace.Β
Nowadays I working with 2/3 ratio drawing without any reference, and 1/3 with some reference or tracing.
Elena and Chun Li drawing, I used a reference for Chun Li and tried to make Elena without reference. It is very easy to sse that the Elena's Leg became deformed..
I understand that my problem are: proportion, anatomy and muscle.
Proportion and anatomy, I am trying to solve it working with a head reference method. I believe that I can improve more with it. I started to use this method just a few weeks ago.Β
You can see Laura's drawing, per example. however I tried to make a big ass, and I am concerning that I have exaggerated too much.... laughs
It is a good amateur method, but it is slower.
This week I will try to draw a new picture from Chun Li, mixing tracing and reference! Good tip, In fact I have fear to use tracing, but your comment has encouraging me to use more!

Some of your art looks professional[ish] already, it doesn't seem like you need my help, but it's hard to tell, some illustrations have large flaws others have none

Elena looks okay, she's missing most of the detail in her legs though

Bookmark these drawabox.com and proko.com/library, that's how I know what I do, of course I am very beginner, but I have very basic knowledge (I still manage to make stuff very detailed for a complete beginner though, especially when compared to some professionals, by that I mean anatomy or style)

Laura is fine also, that's how she looks canonically, even then fanart is subjective

Professionals all traced, and they say you should do it too, even as an intermediate, you have to trace in different ways also rather than the same way each time

Wow! thank you man!
I don't believe that you are a beginner! I am a beginner!
In fact I never had a drawing course, that's why I don't have the basic knowledge, I always drew with my mind, without reference and without construction guide for anatomy!Β
I am trying to correct it now, I believe that it is possible to see the diference from my old works, but I have some faults yet (as you have mentioned - and no problem to tell it, because I know about my mistake, and the most important is that I am trying to correct it)

Thank you very much for your help, and believe that you really help me!

Please keep in touch!

Just bookmark those sites, art has a whole intricate science to it just like diet and exercise do, as well as every sport in existence, even tic-tac-toe has a deep science to it that shows you how to always win, you can't wing it and ever expect good results

I'm very beginner, I may seem like a good artist but it's only when I use a reference or trace

I'm glad my help finally went to good use, I'm very careful with who i help these days, I've had people backstab me with a chainsaw just for helping them (e.g. getting me suspended or etc.), it's happened so unbelievably much with unbelievably so many people I'm very hesitant now (I don't know the psychology behind why people do this, I just know it occurs extremely frequently as an innate behaviour), I kind of only helped you to help myself and my friend (e.g. the blueprints and etc.) but now I see you genuinely are a good person (which is extremely rare to find), you wouldn't believe how many people false reported then blocked me for giving them advice, this applies to every other context as well. e.g. if I give a homeless person a dollar he threatens to kill me saying "What the f**k is this shyit you can't give me more than a f**kin dollar!? I'm calling the police and tellin them you robbed me" so I almost never help strangers anymore (even with friends I'm extremely careful because I've had friends exploit me in the worst ways unimaginable, you have to truly know someone on an extremely deep personal level before trusting them, e.g. they can't be a bad person, can't be creepy or involved in any criminal activity such as any form of hacking, etc.), and I learned anyone calling themself Christian is lying almost 100% of the time

Do you use Discord or PSN
