Description. There is never a shortage of tourists traveling to the enigmatic Lotus Isles, but not everyone returns to share the details. Deep in the crystal caves, these miserly reptiles grasp their Likenpyrls, a sentient bloodred stone only found on that island. They are violently possessive of their pearl and will attempt to bite anyone they believe are there to take it. They spend most of their time plugged into the crystal walls with the cords growing from their backs to absorb minerals and energy for their Likenpyrl. It is thought that Likenpyrl can communicate with one another through the walls in this state.

Likenpearls are used in studying the transformation of DNA - however, it is important to anyone who wishes to study them that they do not make direct skin contact with the pearl.

Comments. Though the idea is a couple of years old for me, I only did the design a couple of months ago, and it was one of the first critters I colored. And it shows. The original drawing is terrible. I mainly went to update this because I was drawing items and just colored a better design for the Likenpyrl, and to my surprise the drawing was more or less the exact same size as the pearl in the original version of this - so I thought I'd update the drawing and do some touch-ups to make it match the quality of the more recent ones. And add the cords, which never got into the original design despite being part of it the idea. And add the new name, which differentiates it from its pearl.
