It's more like a jetpack, flight apparatus, combat gear and composite armor layered over a performance-enhancing muscle-suit (think the Nanosuit from Crysis, if you will); basically just something to wear whilst literally diving headfirst into the thick of an enemy unit, getting in close with melee weapons, thoroughly "cuttin' them faggots up", then proceeding to GTFO.
