This was a project that I did last month for MOCAP at Full Sail University. This was a special artwork done. It wasn't necessary, but I took the liberty of doing it for the sake of the funny lookin' 3D models and animation for my group - MINORITEAM - final project.
It took me 2 week to do the line art in order to get it right and completed with no sleep whatsoever. For the colors/colours, it took me 2 - 3 days.
I not much of a fan of Power Rangers... Only up to ZEO. I had to torture myself in watching the old episodes back to get good reference and digitally draw it in. Amazingly, watched all the episode three days close to this month. It was fun, though! Thank you Netflix!!!
P.S.: Not sure if the anatomy is perfectly proportioned... and not good as to doing metallic colors/colours. I need some help with that!

Im sorry, but after looking at ur gallery, its hard to believe youd did this. The skill level is drastically different. If you did do this, congratulations on the big improvement.

I'm coming up with something new sooner or later. Why they are so different is because I spent a lot of time with drawing. Trying to come up with a new style though. Anyways, thanks for your honesty!

Oh, thanks! I met Austin St. John at Supercon'14 and did an art for him with a MMPR Red Ranger and a Zeo Gold Ranger. He loved it! He might make a shirt out of it! Plus, I showed him this art - he loved it.
Currently trying to plan on something with the Yellow Ranger cause LOTS of people say that Yellow Ranger looks like a guy lol. Not sure if I'll include any other rangers, but yeah. Will definitely make Yellow Ranger! lol

Well... I believe that I've answered this question like a gazillion times already LOL. Basically, yes, Trini is a girl, but when fighting out there in the battlefield, there's a man in that costume. Basically, the cameo's of Boi from Zyuranger.

I had to make the Yellow Ranger as a man cause of what I see and know. I mean, I know that Yellow Ranger is a girl, but still if its origin is from the Sentai Series, what choice do I have? I am gonna make one with female Yellow Ranger. So, don't worry about it. lol

Because Trini in her Yellow Ranger outfit in MMPR was basically a guy in the suit. All was basically from Zyuranger. The Pink Ranger was basically a girl... Even in her suit.

I'm not hiding the Yellow Ranger. Its just that I didn't have enough space to put the Yellow Ranger in. So, I had to put the Yellow Ranger somewhere where he/she could be seen. That's all. lol

I decided to look up this picture after you told me about it.

This is really good.
I love the shading and the use of color in these characters and how detailed you got when you were drawing the muscles.
As for the anatomy, this may just be a weird opinion of a guy who draws in a more cartoony style, but I don't think its okay to play around with it some and have a bit of fun. (I tend to draw characters with big feet like in Street Fighter)
But yeah, all in all I like the way this looks. I makes me want to watch Power Rangers again. Well done bro.

This is boss as all hell. Dayum. The only thing that threw me off was Yellow having the male body. Lots of things went through my mind trying to figure out why. Grew up with the American version with Yellow being a girl and all XP

ROFL Yeah. Alotta people would have a problem with me putting the Yellow Ranger being a male. That would throw off people, but the thing is, is that if you read the other post, you'd figure out why I did what I did. Like if you look at the American version all over again. Netflix has them. If you look at it again, you'd notice that the Yellow Ranger has the body of a male than a female. Anybody could tell lol The only one that looked feminine was the Pink Ranger.
In Zeo or Ohranger, the Yellow Ranger was truly a female. Plus, you could tell the appearance of the body.
LOL Imo, I think that Yellow looks good on a female than a male. To me, it doesn't look right. I mean, mostly male's usually dress up in darker colors, so yeah lol

White ranger was/is my favorite. Looking back now that I am older, those power ranger episodes were not very good at all.

Maybe not. I find that Billy and Trini acting was a bit off and the rest was awesome because it was quite believable. I never liked Rocky and Aisha. Adam was cool though.
I'd like to say that even though the episodes weren't that good, they were quite inspirational.
So since you say that the Power Ranger episodes were not very good at all... Is White Ranger still your favorite or not?

I'd have to say yes. The white ranger still has that nostalgia going for it even though the show was clearly a little kids show.
Now that I'm looking at your drawing here, I see in the background the yellow ranger. Wasn't the Asian Chick the yellow ranger? I know she didn't have a skirt like the Pink ranger but by the looks of it you have her as a he. The frame of the body matches a male form (muscular pecks and all) much more than a female form.

Well, yes. The yellow ranger was the asian chick in saban, BUT in battle and such, she had such a manly form and it was noticeable. Even as a kid, I noticed that her body wasn't exactly the same as a the pink ranger. Think of it like a silhouette of the human shape of a female to a male form. There's no way that Trini was that masculine. So I used the form that I basically saw of the yellow ranger... which was the manly form when she went to battle. The majority of it all: Fighting and the call of the zords.
Heck, all the people that was casted for the show admitted that the show didn't make sense.
