....and here I go with another piece inspired by an attraction at Walt Disney World,that I have misgivings about!!!

Anyone who follows the Disney theme parks knows that recently,a significant change was made on their Pirates Of The Caribbean ride;the iconic auction scene underwent a major overhaul,the most visible change being the character of the "redheaded wench",formerly a potential bride,is now one of the pirates herself. I've seen videos of the new scene and frankly,I have absolutely no problems with it.

That said....I did this piece to call attention to something else in the ride,something which,as far as I know,was part of the 1997 refurbishment and has been there since. Another of the ride's scenes,which previously depicted pirates chasing women,was altered....and,as a result,one of the tableaus, which formerly had a pirate chasing a women,is now of two pirates,both sharing the weight of a large treasure chest. Unfortunately,the animation of the figures wasn't changed,so it shows them running around and around in a small circle.

And yes,it looks every bit as ridiculous as it sounds.

I've commented on this,seemingly ad infinitum,at dozens of post-'97 WDW Pirates ride videos on YouTube,but as far as I know,despite the hundreds who ride each day,I'm the only one who's noticed this....so I decided to make my case visually.
