Backstory: Born to a wealthy American business man, Richard Doran, Poppy seemed to be in a well family. Except that since he already had an older brother, Rodney Doran, his parents only focused on Rodney as he was to be trained to inherit his father's company. Poppy spent most of his time in his room or at school, barely being fed or given any attention. He met his best friend, Rouge Broduer, a french immigrant while at school, and the two instantly became best friends. When he was about 6, it was easily noticeable that he wasn't the most masculine of men. He enjoy women's clothing, makeup, and tried to grow his hair out. His father though, was a very strong Christian, and wouldn't stand for it. He began physically and mentally abusing him, cutting his hair anytime it grew a few inches, and lock him in his room if he did anything bad. Of course, Rodney looked up to his father heavily, and acted after him, also abusing Poppy. His mom tried to help him once, trying to leave her husband, though he grabbed her and the two got in a fight, which ended in Crystal being knocked out. A few years later, Poppy managed to start growing his hair out as his father stopped caring about him. Rodney stayed in the spotlight, and Poppy became even more depressed. When he was a teen, his hair had grown out to his lower back, he'd gotten into makeup and dressed in women's clothing, which led to him mostly being beat up in the streets. He eventually started smoking and committing self harm as a way to cope with his life. When he was about 20, he was unable to get any jobs as no one wanted to hire him. His father suddenly announced that they would be moving to London to expand the business. Poppy tearfully said goodbye to Rouge, and moved to london. He eventually found a job working at a brothel as a male prostitute, though he still looked very feminine. During these 4 years, he was beaten, abused, raped, and degraded at his job, but it was the only thing he could get. When he turned 24, he eventually met Mordred (WIP)
