I'm having this exact problem with ~RejectedDreams
I tried saying something on one of their pictures about how most religions don't believe in hell and I get back a novel about how anyone who isn't a devout follower of the bible is going to burn in hell and how all the other beliefs and religions are completely wrong.
It was pretty lol.

I always ask, "How do you know your right?" For me, I wouldn't say that anyone is wrong, I just don't believe in it. Unless God... or whatever comes down and tells me to my face that there is an afterlife, I just can't believe in it.
But this idea makes people so angry, its a believe in it or else attitude. I never hear, you should be a Christian because Jesus did this or that and my life is full of happiness, I always get, If you don't believe Jesus is your savior your going to burn in hell! That just makes me not want to listen to them.
I'd hate to think that this "God" is such an asshole that he would make good people burn for not believing in Jesus.

And I totally agree, I mean, who wants to listen to some negative jumble about burning in hell...that's not going to make me want to be Christian or like Christianity any more than I did in the first place.
The person I linked says things like 'well people think that Christianity is all about people doing good deeds and being nice. Well, that's not what Christianity is all about' and goes on to say things like that to everyone. Things about how the religion is full of Satan's deception and God's wrath, and the ONLY way to be saved is through Christianity and how Satan has deceived us into believing other things than Christianity.

The moment people start talking about "the wrath of God" my brain turns off and goes somewhere else. My family (not my mom or dad) is Catholic, I already know that crap. If god loves us then why does he want to hurt us all the time?
Like for me I have christian friends, but they're happy and talk of a loving, caring God. Not one that is smiting people all the time and having them burn in hell. And because they are happy I'm happy, and they don't treat me like crap because I don't have the same beliefs.

I am a Christian and proud of it, i respect your choice not to believe, i loved reading your posting attached to it, and find so many truth said in there.
