Just a short drive around and the landscapes I remembered, but without reference - coupled with trying to get a feeling for a certain character I want to use for a story!

Sometimes being a lazy artist has its merits I suppose! I do like the thing you describe, too, and on this picture it's fine, but sometimes I would really like to be less insecure about adding detail!

Well, if it helps, I'm certain you've got a good following of fans who would love to see you grow and expand as an artist. I know I would. I think expanding your horizons is the most rewarding thing you can do, and you should go for it.

Thank you, I'm trying not to stagnate too much and view it as a good thing if my gallery has different things in it. Though more different things would always be possible, the subjects I draw are a bit same-y even if I try different techniques

Haha, not really, we drove around a bit and I found the way the brown bushes contrasted with the sky and snow quite pretty - this is just drawn from that memory but without reference!
