Description
This is a traditional piece for the Heroes of Storm contest. I drew Kerrigan in her succubus form and Tyrael in his demonic form. Took about a week or so to complete. Materials: pencil, ink, color pencils, markers, paint, paint pens, photoshop to combine the pictures together, etc.

The pose came about when I wanted to approach the piece with perspective. I felt that there needed to be a "pop". I also had to consider the type of composition I would need to create in order to let the views flow easily as they look at my picture. So I figured this: I would have one character in the foreground, coming out of the frame just a slight but. And then I would have another character in the background, slightly coming towards the foreground. I wasn't sure what background to put, but I figured that having a colored background would help bring the characters out more rather than a detailed one. I wold of done this piece as a digital one, but I knew that a lot of the contestants would also do theirs in digital. I wanted mines to be different; and I feel that traditional would give the piece a bit more quality in trying to create prismatic coloring rather than rendering them on a computer.

My inspiration came from the comic 'Lady Death'. A lot of its visual aspects had to do with coloring, good lighting, compositon and perspective. I felt that it held the same visual appeal as this game does (in some ways), and it would help convey my style to portray the characters for the contest.
