I saw the first four (the page hadn't fully loaded yet), and thought you were doing the Chinese elements. While this would explain the top-right Leo (leo?) as "Wood", the last one being Air instead of Earth - as in dirt & rock - kinda stopped that theory. :/
Doesn't stop it from being awesome though. I've always liked elemental stuffs.

I was gonna go with the Chinese elements, but I wanted to get air in there so it ended up being a mix of the Chinese and Japanese 5-element-things >.>
