LBA BRONC BONANZA 2024

Colin felt the energy of the arena starting to rise. He looked around at everyone in the stands, shaking out his shoulders at the same time. Flynn stood next to him, talking about how to stay safe. Though Colin didn’t hear much of that. He focused on the horse that was standing in the chute. Panic at the Disco. A horse that he always wanted to ride. The beastie looked like it was ready to toss him to the sun. “Are you listening to me, Col?” Flynn’s voice pulled his attention back down to his little red headed husband. Colin glanced down at him, their eyes locking. A smirk slowly spread wide on the giant man’s face as Flynn realized he hadn’t been listening at all.

“Colin Evans. You need to be careful out there. I know you are good at this stuff but please? For my sake?” Flynn chided him softly as Colin zipped up his safety vest. “Flynnagin Evans. I am going to be as safe as I can be getting a top a half ton creature whose sole purpose is to get me off it’s back.” He leaned down to kiss him softly before standing back up right. “Don’t worry. I got this.”

With that, he strode over to the chute. A few steps and he was over the gate and sitting on Panic’s back. With the bareback class, all he had was the straps and rigging. Should make it interesting. With the good weather out, it was going to be a good ride regardless of if he was able to stay on. The announcer came over the loudspeaker, calling out Colin’s name and the horse’s name. Panic stomped underneath him, Colin felt the weight shifting. The crowd got louder. The anticipation grew in his stomach. He squeezed his hand to adjust his grip and readied himself. Then, like an explosion, the gate opened up and Panic sprung to life as Colin just focused on staying on until the bell sounded.
