Legends tell of a giant shark of ancient times. A shark so huge that even whales shivered with fear. No one had ever seen him, for all his kind was long gone. Nothing but shadows remained of him. Gigantic shadows which would float ownerless through the oceans. They're called Shadows Of The Past and only a few are capable to see them. They were the only thing that had remained of those ancient times. Megalodon, the great lord - and with him, his powerful armies of thousand teeth - had vanished.

Branchia was the only one to not believe in this. Branchia, the Shadow Huntress, was gifted with the rare skill of detecting those Shadows Of The Past. And thus, she hunted them. She hunted them, convinced that she could find the shadow's owners, if she only pursued them long enough. And Branchia did find them.
