Tsubaki: "We have another very exciting match on our hands here. The Thai champion Chailai Kaya will face off against Sakura Ichijoji. The Japanese girl has already proven that she can definitely keep up with a national champion, when she crushed the Korean champ Ha-Yun."

Mitch: "Hard to say who could be considered the underdog in this match. This is perhaps one of the most balanced matches in this tournament. Both have the power, the speed and the experience. They're almost the same height, with Sakura being maybe an inch taller than Chailai. Both come from a rich history of the sport, with many wins under their belts."

Tsubaki: “What we know for sure is that tonight we will see if Sakura truly can go toe to toe with the best of them. Chailai has firmly established herself as one of the top five fighters of this generation. Her notable wins even includes a match against Junta Bunmi when they were both still in the amateur league. On top of that, she has probably come closest to taking that world champion belt off of Abigail, when they fought a few months ago.

Mitch: "Sakura has come a long way, but still has a long way to go if she wants to step in the ring with Abigail. Chailai may be the next step up that she needs to climb the mountain. Hopefully she has a strategy in mind for how to combat Chailai's impressive speed and precise strikes. I know she has been training non-stop with her partner in anticipation for this match, the US's very own Sunshine Star, Sara Robinson. It's great to see Sakura making waves in the world of boxing and Sara doing the same in the world of professional wrestling. A certified power couple, through and through."

Tsubaki: “They definitely are, but I doubt Chailai has been sitting idle either. The Thai fighter is known to train for every fight like it was a title match. Her impressive record was built on her incredible work ethic.”

Mitch: "I had a similar ethos in school, treating each mock test like it was the final... I still failed most of em, but the point still stands. If you got that dedication and determination, you can reach greater things than you first thought possible"

Tsubaki: “I am very excited to see how this match plays out and by the look on their faces, they both know very well what their opponent is capable of. There will be no love lost between these two, until this fight is decided.”

Mitch: "Hopefully, when the bell rings and ends the match, they will be good sports about it. Touch gloves, have a hug, and move forward with their careers. Neither seem the type to let this get to them too personally. But I could be wrong about that, you never really know what's going through their minds. They both keep their cards close to their chest, not wanting to give their opponent any advantage over them."

Tsubaki: “I'm sure they will. They are both very respectful fighters. They just know that they can't afford to show even a hint of weakness until this is over.”
