The changes that even a year brings can be drastic. Ive grown up. Im no longer a plain girl holding out for the right moment. The one who hid among books but wanted to be part of the action gazing on with doe eyes and hesitation. I am no longer a girl, I am a force to be reckoned with, a storm rolling in, a thief in the night. I am stage center and if you cant keep up with me thats not my problem. I wont wait for validation, I take whats mine even if Im the one crowning my own head. Allowing myself to exist as a non-binary person was the biggest act of self love and I am proud of who I am.
