This species is the dominant lifeform on the almost paradise planet Hoarl, which it would be if not for them. Sluom prefer to wear technologically advanced exo-suits to enhance their strength and endurance, as unfortunate neighboring extra-terrestrial species continue attempts at conquering them. Sluom are spiteful and mischievous. When not attacking invaders in swarms and torturing their foes while laughing, they like to sabotage foreign spacecraft and watch their enemies explode. Sluom do not possess fear nor any instinct for survival. They eat living fauna less to sate their appetites and more to inflict torment.

The Sitmacs of the Galactic Federation for Peace have not invaded, as planet Hoarl does not have any system of government. While they have perfected space travel, Sluom do as they please, even at the expense of their own kind. Known throughout the galaxy as malicious pirates, they're not the dominant life-form in space. Sluom squads are frequently destroyed for daring to attack more powerful vessels.
