Description

Here we go again. This is Maryanne, she's another one of my OCs and a character who i find much easier to include in my comic drafts more so than others. Mary, or Maryanne, (depending on which character is talking with her) is pretty much your average stereotypical blonde. She's incredibly oblivious, klutzy and also a very touchy-friendly sorta gal. Maryanne is all about dressing up in fun outfits, styling her hair, painting her nails, and mostly dragging her friends along to do much of the same (even though almost all of them outright hate it). While i wouldn't say Maryanne is stupid, she isn't exactly the best at reading a room or quick at catching on to subtle queues. it really doesn't help that she has very little worldly experience due to how well-off her family is; i mean, Maryanne has never known a day of actual work in her life, and likely never will. she often gives incredibly expensive gifts, tries to make travel plans to take trips out to fantastical sites (which she'll pay for of course) and usually offers to pay for most everything when she's out and about with all of her friends (even if they try to tell her not to). as such, she doesnt understand simple things like avoiding expensive stores and restaurants, living paycheck to paycheck, or worrying about bills (whatever those are) as much of her life has been very easy and carefree. In fact, while most of my characters attend college to try and make something of themselves, Maryanne is simply along for the ride, since everyone else she loves is doing it too; She really doesnt have a reason to do much of anything besides the fact she wants to be doing it or simply could afford to.

While Maryanne is an incredibly sweet and loving gal, she's also infuriatingly nosy and pushy. She's usually almost always snooping around places she shouldn't be and rifling through peoples belongings because she can't help herself. Mary has gotten herself in over her head on more than one occasion because Dixie, Laura, and Katie have all at one point caught her hands in the cookie jar so to speak. She isn't necessarily doing this to be malicious, more so just because Mary has never really known boundaries or been told no throughout her life. On top of all of this, Maryanne dreams of becoming an influencer, so naturally she tries to record anything and everything she and her friends do together, often forcing them into pictures and videos or trying to spring ridiculous challenges onto them even when they don't want to be apart of it all.

For all of her upsides and odd downsides, Maryanne is just a really fun-loving rich girl who she spends much of her money on herself and those around her, which more often than not winds up getting her in trouble because Mary can't grasp personal boundaries or why her friends are so worried about life's many MANY problems that come with being poor or middle class. She's always fun to write about and i wanna try to make more art of this busty, klutzy, rich dog girl.
