Description
Myself as Lulu from Final Fantasy X. Photo taken by Ollie [Orobouros.net] at Anime Next 2008. Here's the stereotypical "boob pose." Enjoy. XP I've had a lot of people inquire about the wig for this costume, and so I'd like to take this opportunity to explain: It is actually constructed from a shoulder-length black wig, which was styled extensively, pulled back, and stubbed. Afterward I braided several packs of matching extensions and attached the braid-bun and longer braids separately. I made this styling decision based upon some prior experience [several years ago, one of my best friends cosplayed Lulu and had a nightmare of a time trying to style a waist-length wig into Lulu's extremely detailed coif], and I have to recommend the method for any future Lulu cosplayers! It definitely beats having to mess with those silly Godiva and Enchantment wigs. :3 As I have mentioned in previous uploads of this cosplay, please ignore the belts, as they were a rush job and not nearly as detailed as I would one day like for them to be. ^__^; Also a slight disclaimer that my costume is based primarily off of Nomura's concept art, and so there are a few slight deviations from the version of Lulu you may be familiar with from the game [brown fur, additional earrings, etc].Please no critiques/criticism. I'd like to keep this gallery happy! :3

This is very well done, sure there are always things one doesn't like, but your cosplay is very pleasing to the eye so I wouldn't worry too much.
And thanks for the tip of the hair, it may also me helpful for other characters with amazingly long hair.

How exactly do you expect a person to take a comment like yours? Not only did I politely decline any critique in my description, but you chose an incredibly rude way to state your point and could not even deign a compliment on my costume. It is people like you who bring this wonderful community a bad reputation. I'd appreciate it if you thought twice before leaving similar insults in other cosplayers' galleries.

Hahah, Lulu is a beast to walk around in. ^__^; I knew that it was going to be a fussy costume, but I never anticipated just HOW fussy - Every step I took, I had to readjust the belts, necklaces, fur, and train. I'm hoping to make a second version of the costume this year that will fix some of the complications I ran into with this first version. Thanks for the comment! <3

NOW I'M VERY VERY AFRAID TO COSPLAY. D: I've never cosplayed before and I'm planning on to be Namine cuz we are a nice match and it's kind of an easy start for a beginner. After that, I'm planning on to be Reno. :3 But of course, I'm planning on to be a good Namine and Reno, not a put together character. >_>;; Though I'm a lil nervous... since I don't know which cons to go to to start with. That and I'm deaf (not mute, please don't say mute) but I have a friend in Iceland who's willing to come and cosplay with me~ All in all, I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO START WITH. D:

Aw, it's nothing to be afraid of! Namine has a super cute design and is a great character to start with. One of my friends cosplayed her a few years ago, actually. I can tell you now that the hardest part will be the scallops on the bottom edge of the dress. Also make sure you find the right sandals, as that's one of the things I notice most Namine cosplayers don't get right. ^__^ You'll be fine! Good luck!

Definitely, just waiting on some of my photographer friends to edit and upload their photos. ^__^ Just asking to be conversational, LOL. AC Yuffie is the easier of the two, so that will save you some grief in the end, I think. Smart choice!
