H I S T O R Y

    Ruth was born in Inner Tanim to a family of three,the second child of Catherine & Charlie Maverick.Her mother kept a decent paying job working night shifts at the Inner Tanim Hospital & her father worked as an engineer in the Dulcet Laeta Factory.The family was not poor at the time and managed to get by on what money they made.Because of their busy schedules,often times Ruth would be watched over by her older brother,Reggie,who she calls Red.When their mother returned from work in the morning,too tired to take the two to school,and their father already at work,Robin would have to drop her off at school on his bike.Most of Ruth’s free time was spent with him,playing videogames,watching TV,sometimes even going to his Baseball games and having to watch from the dugout with other players and the coach because she was too young to sit in the bleachers by herself at the time.This was what sparked her interest in Baseball.
    Ruth’s father had an illness that was common in his genetic line,but with the right medicines death could be avoided temporarily.When Ruth got to be around the age of 13,her mother pregnant with her 3rd,his illness had gotten noticeably worse and her father had become bedridden.The family’s financial situation had become dependent solely on Ruth’s mom.A month before the baby was born,Charlie Maverick passed away.Slowly her family began to struggle with money.When they no longer could afford to live in Inner Tanim they had to move into Outer Tanim just outside of the Slums.They managed on account of her mother getting a second job.Her brother was forced to set his career in baseball aside in order to help pays bills and living expenses.
    The following year,Ruth's sister started to show early symptoms of the same illness that took her father.Lacking the money to pay for any medication her sister died at the end of the next year.After the death of her younger sister died,Ruth's mother quit working altogether, she stopped taking care of the family,and her brother acted as Ruth's caretaker once more.
    Once it was clear that their mother was unfit to raise the two siblings,they were taken out of her custody and put into the care of their uncle and aunt who resided in Inner Tanim,until they were old enough to live on their own.

She originally applied as an engineer in the Dulcet Laeta Factory to follow in her dad's footsteps,but only had the qualifications for a delivery agent and took that job instead.

Powers: She can stretch her arms very far and stick them to stuff like those sticky hand toys due to her gummy genetics!Unfortunately the sticking affect is uncontrollable;if she has her arms stuck to a surface for too long (regardless of whether they are stretched out or not) her hands automatically glue themselves to the surface and will need someone to help pry her arms away and unstick her.Because of this she is forced to wear gloves at all times(not pictured above).
