Because they clearly are.Acumen collects skateboards and has graciously allowed Marcus (older!Daikuru) to borrow one in order to make a fool of himself more efficiently. Marcus will get revenge when Acumen attempts free running.
For now, though...he still looks like an idiot.
Wanted to pick up my markers again - it's been far too long. IGNORE THE INACCURACIES THOUGH, PLEASE. I'm horrible on a skateboard and blatantly disregard physical law.

Uh....you see... Daikuru becomes a bit more independent after Shinya attempts to kick the bucket. They weren't really close to begin with and afterward they kind of just naturally avoid each other, especially since it happened at the beginning of summer break. And then a year later after, uh... *spoiler*, Daikuru just erases his past existence (or attempts to) and starts introducing himself by his middle name (changed it, if you remember his original), and dyes his hair back to black. He quits the track team and takes up free running. Becomes "friends" with Acumen during this period. He's two years younger. (Marcus = junior, Acumen = freshman).

Uh... Acumen is a rich, arrogant kid who has insane anger management problems. He befriends Daikuru when he and Shinya grow apart for about a year. Er...I dunno'. He initially had his own storyline and I just recently decided to merge them so he's undergoing development all over again. C:
And we do need to hang out. I leave pretty soon and all...and I will totally get around to doing those outfit designs for you I am so sorry it's taking me so freaking long. D:

Dude. I discovered the magic of Prismacolor markers. They don't fade like Copics so it's just BAM VIBRANT and it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. C:
