This started out as more of a challenge. LET'S SEE IF I CAN DRAW SOMETHING PASSABLE ON ONE LAYER. I think it worked out pretty well, except I actually ended up using two layers, because I have to have colour in the background apparently. >| As you can see it's not that great, but you know, it ain't that bad, either, I suppose.Anyway. While I was drawing/colouring, I was like, "This looks suspiciously like Emmett, but if Emmett weren't a vampire," and so, I decided that this is Emmett before he was a stupid and went into the woods and decided to wrestle a bear or something and ended up having to be saved by Rosalie who ran him a hundred miles to Carlisle to turned him into a vampire. Yep.
Also, this started out kind of as a portrait of one of my friends, but... Yeah. It's more Emmett I decided. And actually, this is pretty similar to how Emmett looks in my mind's eye, so.
I like how Emmett's last name is McCarty. What a good little Irish-American from Tennessee. Except whenever I think of their human names (like, Edward Masen, Emmett McCarty, Esme Platt, et cetera) I always refer to them as their maiden names. Which, lol, means they're all married to Carlisle. Except Jasper, he's married to Rosalie.

ohhh yah, that's Emmet for ya. I imagine him with a little more prominent jaw, but other than that it's like MWAH.
Especially the lips. That's JUST like I've imagined Emmet. He's so cute ;3;
It is kinda fun to draw with one layer. Once in a while, that is.
I'm starting to luuuv all the cullen boys. not just Jasper/Edward. Emmet is really fun.

THAT IS BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL AWESOME. Edward is Edward and that makes him awesome by default, Jasper is just ultimate cool, Emmett cracks me up, and Carlisle is a sexy doctor who's also like old and wise and brilliant and stuff. AND STILL HOT.

But for real. We know about ROSALIE before EMMETT? The thing is, though, we learned detailed history of Rosalie and Jaspar in book 3, maybe in Breaking Dawn we'll learn more about Emmett... and maybe Esme. The Twilight Lexicon helped out on that, but still. (OMFG, I find the background on Carlisle and Esme so sweet... how he watched after her... omgosh. Damn vampires and their romantic tendencies!)

Since you're getting used to the tablet, I think you should start blending other colors with the base instead of using the same shades. Like, using more pinks and reds on the skin for instance, so it'd look more... Fleshy. xD Really awesome, though, great job!

Doing stuff on as few layers as possible is hard x_x; But kind of fun after you get used to it. Fun as in, "ooh, killing all the spiders in my house has become a game" kind of fun, not like "OMG I'M ON A ROLLERCOASTER THIS IS AWESOME" kind of fun. Yeahhhh. 8D;

I have a weird OCD habit of always keeping my lineart seperate from my colors. If not, I get really twitchy. I change my lines a lot, so if I erase color and lines at the same time... alsdkjga;sl too much. xD;

And I guess this program really stays true to the real thang. Which sucks for me because I use tons of layers XD So I'm trying to get in the habit of merging layers n'stuff.

XD He'd be sooo good. ;A; Him and Jasper would be so funny to watch. Because Jasper has good reflexes and battle strategies, but I imagine Emmett to have good gaming skills.

I do the same thing! Lineart on one layer, base colours each have their own layer, and I'll have multiple layers for shading, for each base layer... So like, a layer for skin, and then like up to five or six layers with purely skin shading. @_@ So at the end of a serious piece I'll have like seventy layers sometimes. And if there are multiple people, they each get their own set.

I think I have Corel Painter on my computer, but only because it came with my tablet... I like Photoshop way better, I think. I like my layers too much. xD It's just so much more convenient in a lot of ways.
No way, I do exactly the same thing. xDDD Oh man, I really want to draw something about that now. I think I will. I love Halo, but man, I'm not that great at it... My cousins and I were playing and they absolutely slaughtered me. I think it's mostly the controls though. I have a hard time with XBox because I'm too used to PS2 xD;

Yeah, I have another version of Corel from my tablet too. But this was something my mom got for me for Christmas. It's like, a professional painting program 8D it's amazing, all the stuff it does n'such. But kind of confusing at the same time. I really want to learn how to paint with only one layer because I think it will help me grow as an artist.... but it's going to be really hard to stop using photoshop XD Cause I like... just got used to everything on PS7. ;^; It's a good thing that Corel can read things from PS7. It even keeps all the layers your working on 8D It's awesome. I really do like it, and I'm mad at myself for not using it enough. :[ I just have so many WIP's that I already started on PS. asl;jgkasdgl;jk
XDD;; Dude, I suck at Halo too, but I just love playing it XD My friend's a beast at it. She does the whole, stalking on a tall cliff thing D: I can NEVER find her XD She shoots at me, and then just when I get my eyepiece focused on her, she blows me up with a rocket launcher. =__= She plays with her brother a lot, so she learns all the hiding places of all the worlds, and she knows where all the good weapons are ;~; It's not fair, but I end up getting addicted to it anyway XD We scream at each other a lot while we play. And her mom will come in the game room looking all concerned and ask "Why are you guys screaming? It's 2:30 AM" And we're all like..."umm.... >_> -guiltyfaces-" XD.
It's fun playing along with the story too, and shooting the aliens. It gets really exciting 8D Or maybe my friend and I are just geeks XDD
The controlers ARE weird though, I totally agree. I'm a PS2 girl as well, and I keep pressing the wrong buttons and end up jumping up and down instead of shooting my gun XD or something retarded like that.

Oh man, I want to try out Corel so bad! It sounds really, uh, hard actually 8DD But now I just need to find where on my hard drive I stored it so I can experiment with it. But man your version sounds cool. If I like mine I'm going to have to see if I can convince my mother to buy me that version... Though I'll probably be confused by it and have to stick with PS because I am a technolotard 8DDD
My cousins are beasts. I was playing with two of them mainly-- they're identical twin boys and about eight months older than me, and they own it, and were therefore were about a billion times better than me. Plus they're twins so they can practically read eachother's minds. But they were always ganging up on me. And they're like, "You know, we're not going to go easy on you just because you're a girl, right?" But I kind of thought they were joking. Apparently not. 8|
It took me forever to get used to them xDD But I had to get used to it while Cristian and Dave (a friend of Cristian's, we call him our token Irish friend) and I were playing Gears of War, and we're supposed to be doing a mission and I don't even know how to shoot my gun xD So I'm barely even managing to keep up with them and they're just taking care of the whole killing badguys thing.
xDDD I can imagine Emmett on drums and Jasper on guitar, and Jasper messing up, and Emmett thowing his sticks through the window and being like "WTF JASPER" and Esme being like "EMMETT SIT YOUR BITCH ASS DOWN AND JUST PLAY THE GODDAMN DRUMS"
