Collectormania, Milton Keynes, 1st May 2005.Yes, your eyes are not deceiving you, this is the actual Dalek from the latest series of Doctor Who, trundling around the Milton Keynes shopping centre in all its glory. "Fantastic!", as the Doctor would say.

Heh, weird - the new Dalek didn't strike me as being bling at all. If anything I thought it looked more rough and chunky than previous daleks... During the episode I was wondering if maybe it was meant to be an Imperial Dalek of some kind, judging by the colour and the shape of its lights...

I'm not really to sure about what they did with the dalek... It's just too bling. :S to be honest I didn't like the story either, the Daleks are supposed to be completely mericless killing machines. Mind you I guess that was show in the story when it died rather than live with compassion... Still, the shot's good!

the daleks have always kind of looked like that. I have the geneses of the daleks tape from the old series, and the guy who created the dalek (in the city of Kelad) Had a chair with buttons, plus life support stuff, that looked like the dalek skirt bit. Mind you, i love the daleks. They are clever little beasties...
