I haven't played with this character in a while. I was reading through some old manuscripts and came across her again. I really like her story, but my beta reader hated the MS. Hated the characters, hated the plot, hated the world. Hated everything! So I set it aside. I still like it. Every time I read it I try to see why it received such a bad review, but I really just can't see it

haha, fair. I think they were offended because the story contained under aged drinking and swearing. They wanted me to tone it down which, yeah, probably means they weren't the right reader

Not every story will work with everyone. *shrug* If you have love for it then keep it in your back pocket.

Very true! Might be a sign that the story still needs to mature a bit though. I need to think on it and make sure the plot is explained well in the text and not just in my head

I have such problems with plot. My husband is always dragging me back to the plot kicking and screaming. Really I just want to write soap operas.

Haha, well I actually sometime struggle with building the subplots. I want to get from beginning to end! I don't want to mess with emotions. Yuck!
