God, peppermints are so awesome. I would eat those things at any time!
But... about that, I'm partially cool with April Fool's day pranks, so long as you don't go too far or embarrass the "victim" more than necessary. It's okay to have a laugh with your friends, but why do it on a day when so many people actually EXPECT others to play pranks on them? I mean, it's fun and all, but I still don't find a point in calling this day so special.
