The DAZ program is free! Go to the site and check it out. You can download and use the program to get a feel for it and see if its something you want to continue using. The base figure models are also free, but you have to buy the morphs and textures (thats where they make their money). However there are many freebies out there so you can do some good stuff without investing any/little cash. Check out Renderosity, DAZ and RuntimeDNA for freebies.
