Description I can't go back home
and my graceless tears
are running through the dust
on my emotions and you
are running through my mind

I miss you and I'm thinking about
long roads with no a/c and
rolled down windows and trusting you.
I'm thinking about pajama pants and
Disney movies and loving you.
I'm thinking about
endless moments at every age, when we both were
nothing, you made me something.

And I miss you but
I can't go back home.

I love the details in this, the no a/c, the pajama pants. They really brought the emotions home for me. I really like this one.

Your comment says it all... Sometimes we really can't go back (and it's usually for the best).
I have to admit I don't understand the title (not that it's a bad title, it just seems a little removed). But the rest of the poem, through original nostalgic terms and uncommonly used sentimental observances made it a great poem.

The title is kind of like a nostalgia thing. Long forgotten feelings from yesterday. Love that I used to have yesterday. People in my life that were there just yesterday
and now they're gone.

obviously yesterday doesn't mean the immediately previous day, but a time past. If that makes sense.

It's also the title of a 30 seconds to mars song, and when i was staring at the poem trying to think of a title, the song started playing in my head. And when i thought of everything that i just told you, it was perfect.

And thank you, by the way

Thanks for the clarification- duel reasons! Yesterday can be recent or a further back time, of course.
You're welcome

Over time, everything changes. Some things just change very slowly.
