Description
The sun takes forever to fall here,
and the city blocks seem to meld
into one cacophony of dulled color
under a mottled gray achromatic sky

And the people writhe inside
clouds of smoke, tattoos webbed
across pale skin and palliated minds,
out one coffee shop and into another

My art is dead in this artists' town,
the skyline from eight miles up
couldn't wake me, and I'm so scared
of what it all will feel like when I'm alive again.
