XD because Mallee has longer fur than our past dogs we were paranoid a grass seed would burrow into her lol, after walks we would examine her and get them all out. But now that she's taller (and less in the line of fire) we don't bother, I cant help but want to pluck them out when I see them though

Hahaha, well I guess I understand a little x) Whenever my cousin's dog got seeds or some other kind of plant or dirt in her fur I want to get all off until she's all shiny and new~

lol yes, but the kind of 'grass seed' we have here can burrow into a dog's skin, and we have to watch out to keep them out of her ears. They are creepy little things. They are really the seed of a weed, I dont know why we call them grass seeds lol

Oh my sweet tooth! (I didn't feel saying "oh my god", does "oh my sweet tooth" sound way too weird though? "x)) I've always feared such plants, but I didn't even know such plants existed!! D8 That's scary

lol "oh my sweet tooth" sounds weird but not too much. It doesn't sprout or anything (thank god) just burrows into the skin obviously being painful and cause infection. It gets caught in their fur, the fur holds it in place long enough for it to burrow in slowly. It mostly happens on their paws, or goes straight into their ears D:

Well, I don't mind a little weirdness every now and then, so it will do~ x3
Oh, well at least that's good But still, it must hurt D: Poor dogs... I can understand how it gets stuck in the paws, but in the ears? Are the seeds sticky or something?

yep. But grasseeds only appear in the dry seasons. Right now it's green and cold here and they are no where to be seen. The seeds are light and shaped like a spike (similar to this [link] ), so the wind can blow them into an ear, or a dog can run through a bunch of them and they fly onto it's fur/ear canal.
oh and in regards to the note I sent you there are a some broken links, but if you look at the web address all you have to do is remove the bracket at the end and they should work.

"Green and cold"... what an odd combination for me.
Ooohh I see, so that's how they get around? ◕.◕ Poor doggies, but the seeds are rather big huh? Isn't it easy to spot them? At least on shorter fur? o:

Ah yes, I figured ;D At first I was like "Ohh nooo, now I'm never gonna know what she wanted to show me! " Then 2 seconds later I was like "Oh... "

Thats what it's like in my area, but since moving I'm not sure what it is XD I've been inside more, and theres less grass, which is the main contributor to the green colour. In the warmer seasons the grass is less vibrant and all the weeds we have tend to go browner/yellower. I guess your colours would be snow? Since I've moved it's been COLD, I cant believe you Sweden's get colder weather, I would die!

glad you figured it out XD

Ahaaa, well then it sounds more logical to me... but still weird with "Green and cold". And yeah, our colours would be either "snow" (lol ) or just really dark if there's no snow... Luckily we have the street lamps, without them I wouldn't find my way home from school!

How cold have it been, and what temperature are you most used to? I forget... :'D

lol well it's true hot is yellow/brown.
It sounds a bit like a horror movie! "dark" oh man I wouldn't like it
Gosh I'm bad with that stuff. Recently it's been hovering around 20 degrees. You?

Can't blame you, most Swedes don't like the dark either. Either they fly to the south (if you can afford) or stay inside the the TV, computer, games, or the all-time favourite: fika (which don't have an English translation, the closest is "Coffee break" but that's still not the same)
Barely above 10°C here. :'D
