Going threw a couple of old photo-shoots. I moved house and am sharing with a certain indoor cat named Neve, along with my elder sister and cousin. Every time we temporarily let Neve out into the yard she is usually focused on gobbling up grass. Tabby only ever did this rarely, so I looked up why cats eat grass. There are various reasons and theories but a consensus on one is that they do this to induce vomiting in order to get rid of all that hair they groom off themselves. Carnivores like cats lack the enzymes to digest plant matter. Also, in the wild, they would have eaten whole carcasses (hair, bones and the like) and needed to throw that hard-to-digest stuff up
It's fascinating how instinct is built into animals. I wonder what humans do without realising it's purpose.
