Nice technique, and I love the pose and the adorable animal. I'm terrible with drawing period so I can't begin to judge your technique, but this really is a terrific picture. I will say one thing though, for some reason it looks almost sentient, something in the face. Was that your intention?

Not directly, but I've always found owls look eerily sentient, especially the spectacled owl, so in that way I'd say yes.
With my previous two I went for the whole dark eye to make them look a bit more cutsy, but because this guy had such a dark face, I figured that his eyes would disappear if I did that.

But as you wanted some feedback, the only think I see wrong with it, is that the white face is to angled to the rest of the face, the peak of the white part before it curves back down to the side, should be a little more by the ear...I sure hope this makes sense, if not, I can show you what I mean? xD Otherwise, AMAZING, and cute! Love it!

Alright. I had done a bunch of sketches of little barn owl griffins, but I think as I colour them I'm going to make them different species of bird griffins.

The only thing feedback wise I can see would maybe be that left wing? Maybe try the end feathers curving inward/towards the body rather than away from it?
