I've never posted much of my photography on here, but now that I've left the ballet I'm feeling a little nostalgic. I took this shot earlier this summer before Alberta Ballet took The Fiddle and The Drum to the Luminato Festival in Toronto.Getting the perfect dance shot is exceedingly difficult, and the lighting in the rehearsal studio is atrocious.
I hope you all enjoy this as much as I did taking it.

Very cool! I enjoy the momentum and the grace that is portrayed in this photo. I also love how blurred the background people and objects are, yet the subjects of the photo are crisp and clear, like they're the only people who matter. Very nice indeed : )

Isn't that great? If it had all been sharp I don't think it would have looked nearly as good.
