CursedRedBaron In reply to ??? [2012-11-15 07:44:43 +0000 UTC]

Hi!
First, thank you for the critique, and you english is very good
I am just a little shocked about some cons - just let me explain:

1) There is no friendship, i had a former version where the sectopod is deactivated (lights off) - but i love glowing lights, so i didn't deactivate them xD
Fighting the sectopod would be so... standard...^^
2) I am not the best in posing and this is my style, please put that circumstance in mind.
3) it would, if the secto was deactivated

I am not begging for a revaluation of this critique but i don't know if i should press the button for "fair" or "unfair"

Sectopod was one of the few well made enemies in new XCOM . As if in original 1994 UFO it was not enough troublesome now it is bigger , meaner and has even more dakkka . His main cannon , his rockets and turrent were a nightmare to me . That was the only enemy I truly liked in new XCOM

I dunno is Sectopod from Enemy Unknown worse than from the Xcom 2?
What are you think?

Maybe it was the fact that the vast majority of aliens and their tech were modified to appeal to the human population and look less scary. Maybe it's also the fact that they're not hiding in the shadows of an invasion anymore. Either way the Xcom2 Sectopod seems to look weaker since it looks like it uses magnetic machine guns instead of its original "super laser". Seems to sacrifice lethal power for mowing down large groups.

This almost seems to the basis of an xcom anime, "xcom reversed engineered a sectopod that will now fight forthem, commanded by rookie (aren't they always?) pilot, Her-o, as they work togther to save the day!"

We don't have the ability to hack sectopods, but we do have MEC troopers. A fully armed MEC can literally PUNCH a sectopod to death.Β

Please remind me why can't we permanently reprogram alien mechanical units. I mean, we can already end up a mission with drones under X-Com control - which then disappear mysteriously after the mission.

Nice artwork - she's sitting on top of the Sectopod, with a sad look, almost as if she is remembering fallen allies from the battle.

Wonderful job on the art, and it's quite amusing even without the context of the mission I mentioned above.
