I mean, you could work it into a backstory.
Eyepatches, prosthetic limbs, missing digits, scars etc all make for badass humans, who's to say that severed spurrs wouldn't make for a badass Tury?

Ooh, I like! What is his story? Judging by the symbol, I assume he is a Spectre?

He was a Spectre, now he is freelancer. He finished his Spectre career because of his biotics abilities and cos the Cerberus got his girlfriend. He started to booz and using red sand. Adn finally he went awol. He dedicated his life for finding his gf and taking the Cerberus down.
