oh my, thats one awesome dragon detective, dude!
i've seen him earlier before, in your drawing of ''daleblackclaw 1'', and while the first one was awesome, this one has an even better ''action movement'' in it.
i like how he leans down and points his gun at his enemies, it certanly feels like a scene of action, which would be awesome to see in an animation/movie of this character...
(or of any monstrous/dragon-shaped character that happens to also be a detective, that is!)
i like how you've drawn him; both his scales, his face/face expression, his robotic arms, his torn pants (why are they torn? he really doesnt care about his trousers, does he? lol) and his HUGE magnum revolver are also signs of the characters badassery and of his defiance.
i really like how you gave him that pose of action, he has a cool face expression, good anatomy, he has a nice design overall, and also, i like the vibrant colours; the bright-red background makes an excellent contrast between his more normal, earthly colours, and it makes the picture even more intense.
great work sir, once again you did a great drawing.

Well, he's been used in two campaigns, but he's actually started a dragon hunting business in an Eastern campaign in the Forgotten Realms very own Kara-Tur, and that he's had more of an impact on the story in that one, so I'll do that version of Dale. That's also the version that has him with the Cyborg arms seen here. No worries, the Cyborg arms was his own choice, so he didn't lose his arms.

first of all: he's a dragon, and he's having a dragon hutning bussiness?! isnt that a bit ironic? (or a conflict of interests, in dale's side, at least..?)
also, whats the design of dale blackclaw in the first story's era? (the one where he is on a campaign on the forgotten realms/kara-tur.)
its before he got the bionic arms/the trenchcoat, right?
aha, the version of dale with the bionic arms is a version of a later-era/of an other timeline, right? (perhaps in the distant future?)

Well, Dale is a Human that became a Dragonborn of Bahamut, and his business mainly involves the hunting of evil-aligned Dragons, he fights for a cause to a certain extent due to his religious ties to the Platinum Dragon. His first story arc is basically him before the robot arms where he started the business. He still had the trenchcoat and all. His robotic arms and revolver come to play about a few months after the first arc, where he joins forces with a steam punk styled guild. Though, he reserves the Revolver for Dragons since it specifically fires Dragon Bane bullets (It basically deals more damage to anything of the dragon type. Still normal damage to anything else) as he uses a great sword (A No-Dachi, or long-as-fuck samurai sword since he grabbed it in the East) for anything else, or if all else fails, beat the shit out of everything with his fists.Β
The drawing I made of Dale is more similar to his original appearance before the cybernetic augments were done. That reminds me, I should do my own version with the robot arms. Bear in mind, I'm not as talented as the ever amazing Curt here.

I was wondering what you would think about it and if you got any helpful tips to help improve.

When it comes to tips, I am no great artists who has huge knowledge.
All I can say is to look at the pro artists whom you like, and study how they draw bodies.
Look at the basic shapes of a humanoid form, then practices the simple approach til you
feel confident, and then build up from there...I find Bruce Timm is an excellent artist to
study, in order to get the basic hero character forms.
Print out some good artistΒ linework sketches from Google image, and study these...
It is how I learned.
